Let's Talk About Flip Flops

Do you love flip-flops or hate them? It seems there's no middle ground where they are concerned. I recently organized my closet and my shoes and realized that the majority of my shoes are flip-flops of one sort or another. I like how versatile they are, how easy they are to slip on and how they can be dressy or super beachy casual. Some of my best friends absolutely hate them, either because they don't like anything between their toes, or because they think they're tacky.

I have some like these from Old Navy that I paid $2.50 for and I wear to the pool and keep in my car for "emergencies". Emergencies such as when one of the girls didn't put on shoes before leaving the house because she didn't think she would have to get out of the car or my dressy shoes are killing me and I don't want to be crippled. We all have those sorts of emergencies right? )

I also have these Havaiana flip-flops (I have the brown pair) that are great for the pool or the beach, but have a more sturdy and comfortable sole and are fine to walk around in too.

I have a pair similar to this silver pair with a bit of a heel that are dressy and cute for church (although I didn't pay nearly so much for them). I got them on clearance at Steinmart several years ago and I have worn them over and over.

Next on my wish list is a gold pair like these. I think they would be cute with so many different outfits from dresses to capris. Of course I will wait until I can find something on clearance somewhere. Maybe Steinmart again since I have a coupon for 20% off any already marked down item.

And just for fun take the flip-flop test and tell me what you get!

It depends on the flip flops...if they're all dirty and worn out then no, I think they're gross. If the person wearing them hasn't done anything with their feet in ten years, then no, I think they're gross.

If, though, they're super-cute (like yours!) and the person cares about their own hygiene and the way their feet look when they're in public and purposely showing them off, then I think they're fun and cute.

LOVE them! Although I recently fell twice within five minutes on wet deck boards while wearing them and I have to say I've been really cautious ever since.

Flip flops are awesome. Perhaps I am addicted to them from year of swimming and lifeguarding year round. I wear them way into the cold weather and as my hubby says I break them out to early in the spring. I have four pairs of Havianas that I bought for $5 each about two years ago. I love them none of them are too fancy but they are taupe, grey, black and white and I clean then once a month in the summer so as I can keep wearing them and not look like a mess. I am a new follower and very excited to read your blog. Happy Tuesday!

I love flip-flops. My daughter decorated her room with a flip-flop theme.......we live on the coast so that is our excuse for wearing them all year long. I have a purple pair with no brand on them that I wish I could replace.....don't know where I got them or how much I paid for them?
I don't wear flip-flops to church. I have to draw a line somewhere......and that's it.
Flip-flops are fun, great colors, easy to find and cheap. LOVE them.

I just bought a pair of "yoga mat" flip flops! I can't wait to get them!! http://www.zappos.com/sanuk-yoga-mat-gun-metal

Otherwise, my mainstay are black Reef Ginger Thin flip flops-- more comfortable than a tennis shoe!

I wish I loved flip-flops, but I have to have arch support in my shoes (sigh). Love yours though! As you can see, I'm back in the land of blogging. God bless, love Tina xx
