Organizing the Pantry

I have been organizing my pantry this week and I am loving it! Mine doesn't look nearly as cute as this one, but at least I can find everything now and I'm not in danger of something falling out on my head. :)

As soon as I get more than 5 minutes to sit at the computer I'll post some pictures and details of what I did. I'm seriously thinking of looking for a door like the one in the picture for my pantry. Of course that would mean I would have to keep the pantry organized at all times! I guess that would be good motivation wouldn't it?

The pantry has to be one of the hardest places in the home to keep organized. That and the linen closet! I do not have a closet size or walk in pantry, mine is actually a large cupboard and that's hard enough to keep up.
I fell in love with the red screen door in when I seen it in the magazine too. So charming! Can't wait to see your pics.

Love this pantry door!! If I had one like it I would install a curtain of some sort on the inside... still enjoy the 'look' without the stress of keeping it totally organized ALL the time!!

I feel like every 3 months or so I need to reorganize. I must have issues with putting items in their proper place.

Kristin from www.wearethatfamily.com did a pantry door just like that one. She used a screen door and added some fancy stuff. Viola! I think she did a little tutorial on it if you searched her blog.

I found this pantry door picture a while back and it was definitely an inspiration to me (posted about it a while back). It is exactly what I will be doing to my pantry. Mine was already organized but I needed a door so now am just waiting to find a screen door on Craigslist or at a garage sale. I already found a serving fork for the handle the last time I went thrifting!

You give such great information here. Whatever we can do to making kitchen work easier and more fun is always a great idea! And there's nothing more fun than finding exactly what you're looking for when you need it!

I like my pantry organised so i can check my inventory at a glance, however, my children prefer to mix everything up..i like my little ducks all lined up in a row, and they prefer a jumbled mess. I won't even mention my kitchen drawers, my son that is on kitchen duty thinks i enjoy playing hide and go seek when i am looking for utensils and measuring cups...

Love that door. I would say having one where everyone can see in it is a great reason to keep it nice looking.
I also think doing that makes you happy when you walk by.

Paula Dean has a screen door on her pantry. I love this . I am trying to talk my hubby into it. He's not so keen on the idea.

That looks really pretty. A pantry is on my wish list. Hopefully the next time we move will be into our own home and then I can have a pantry. If not our own home then hopefully that new place will have a pantry. In the meantime I will enjoy pictures like this and dream. Thanks for sharing it.
