Cotton Dishcloths
I love to knit these little cotton dishcloths. For a novice knitter like me, it's fun to work on a project that can be completed quickly and easily. I like to be able to see "results". These are fun to give away too. My mother and I have made homemade soap together a few times and I've given a bar or two of soap in a little basket with a couple of these dishcloths. I like to use them too. They seem to last a little longer than store bought dishcloths and they have a good texture for scrubbing. Just don't use a red one with any type of bleach cleaner. I know that from personal experience! :)

A young girl made one for me and I just enjoy it so much. They are the absolute best thing for washing dishes.
Ooh! I'll have to remember this. I like seeing results right away with my projects as well. I'm not a long-term project person - no patience. My MIL crocheted my daughter 4 washcloths when she was just a baby. Three and 1/2 years and countless baths later, they are still in awesome condition! :)
Oh, these are just so nice! I tried to crochet a cotton dishcloth recently but it was so firm and thick that I couldn't even wring it out! I washed and dried it and now use it as a little mat for a large jug to stand on! I'll try knitting one next time instead!
Love, Tina :)
