I think we skipped Spring and went straight to Summer. It's been so warm here the last few days!
I took the opportunity to open the kitchen windows. I also gave my poor little potted plants a thorough watering and put them outside to get some sun.
I even turned on my ceiling fans today! It feels so good to be in a warm room drinking iced tea with the ceiling fan stirring up the air. A certain little puppy enjoys the ceiling fan too as he sits in "his" spot on the ottoman next to his favorite teenager. :)
I can't wait for spring and summer!
ReplyDeleteIt felt like that last weekend in Southern California, and now it's turned cold again! Thank goodness it won't last too much longer.
ReplyDeleteI just looked at the 7 day forcast and every day next week will be in the mid 70. Whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Spring! Of course we are buried under snow right now but it will be here soon. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute dog! It felt like summer here too...where did Spring go? I'm not complaining, anything is better than the horrible winter weather we have been having and will be having next week.
ReplyDeleteWow! Your aloe plant looks great. So green .... mine is all brown and ucky looking. I don't know what it needs. A lot of sunlight, less sunlight, more water, less water???
ReplyDeleteAny advice?
Thanks,
Joan
I think in the DFW area yesterday it got up to 82*. That's hot enough for me...time to bring back the 60* weather people...lol.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I am ready for summer type weather yet. I know some of my neighbors have cranked their a/c on already. Not me...not yet. :)
So I got to expierence my 1st winter in TX and it wasn't much of a winter at all. But then again, I was expecting a blizzard...hee hee.
Oh well. It is nice to see the spring flowers blooming once again and the trees beginning to get their leaves back. :)
Blessings,
Dawn
Yeah, it got up to 72 yesterday. . .in Iowa in March! We were loving it! (Why do I have a feeling there will be a blizzard coming on soon?)
ReplyDelete:)
Joan, I'm not a good one to ask about houseplants. :) All I've done with my aloe plant is water (though not too frequently, I wait until the soil is dry) and keep it in a south facing window.
ReplyDeleteDawn, I don't think you'll be experiencing any blizzards in the DFW area. You'll need to move to Amarillo (AKA Alaska) for that. :)
Kari, we'll be back to the cold and blustery just in time for the weekend. Fun! ;)
I love spring and summer but I really don't like it to get very hot (like in the 80's or 90's). Way to hot and we don't have air conditioning.
ReplyDeleteI may just make some sweet tea here today...yum.
ReplyDeleteI want spring to come too. This has been a long cold winter.
