Join Big Mama (and me, not that she knows me and is reading with me, but you know what I mean...) in reading the Bible in a year in chronological order. She started on September 1st so you haven't missed much if you want to jump in.

Little Things

What I want for Christmas
Hint, hint. :) Or maybe these.

Blueberry Coffee Cake Muffins

Homemade Brown Sugar

Life through a New Lens (gorgeous pictures)

Before and after sitting room
at a beach cottage

I guess most of this is not really reading so much as looking, but that's fun too right?

  1. This year was the first year I read chronologically and I liked it much better than from page 1 onward. Was able to finish in record time. Spending the first six months of 2009 doing chemo gave me plenty of time in the recliner. Reading the Bible was a great way to spend the time.

  2. This is interesting way of reading through the Bible. I did it for several years when homeschooling my early elementary-aged children. Now Friend Hubby and I are reading along with the Jewish reading schedule (with New Testament readings added). http://www.torahportions.org/ Contains the schedule we read along with. Another is at http://www.hebrew4christians.com/

    Blessings!

  5. Our church read thru the bible last year fro t to back. Then after we accomplished this(took me 13 months not just a year but I did it :)We started this past January reading it thru chronologically as a congregation. I have found this to be a much more challenging way to read the bible but it does help put some of the pieces together. Blessings to you as you take on the challenge.

  7. I've just started reading the bible, from the beginning. I didn't know there was such a thing like cronological reading - I have to find out more about it. I've bought a new translation of the bible, written in normal language - it is pleasure to read. I look forward to reading it every night. Love you blog. :)
