I want to be your neighbor as well! I tried to grow tomatoes this year and it just didn't work. I thought it was me but a few friends in my area had the same problem so maybe I'm off the hook. I'll try again next year. Love your blog by the way, I posted a link to it from my blog, I hope you don't mind.
Little missy homemaker, your name is so cute! Of course I don't mind! Thank you so much!
Flybaby, my youngest boy is nearly to Oklahoma today for a football game, I could have sent some with him! :)
Retro, no but I brought you peaches, remember? Or did you just take the ones that fell over the fence into your yard? :) Oh and pecans! Remember that gargantuan pecan tree that shaded the entire back yard? I miss it... Then we had the cherry tree, but that poor thing only lasted about 10 minutes.
I love sharing produce from the garden, but this year has been quite lean in our wee patch. I've been buying them! Since they are $25 for a 1/2 bushel here that would be a lovely gift indeed! I have chili sauce and more salsa on the books but our 'maters didn't make it through our vacation without any rain or water!
makes me wish i was your neighbor :)
ReplyDeleteSqueak! Lurker door opening. Soo enjoy your blog. Ran into it after wandering the blogosphere one day. I want to be your neighbor, too!! ;o)

ReplyDeleteSo how do you feel about the postal service? Just kidding! :o)
ReplyDeleteI was your next door neighbor about 10 years ago. You never brought me tomatoes. :-(

ReplyDeleteI don't eat pecans, but I did eat the peaches off your tree that hung over the fence. :-) I feel better now. LOL

You can always Fed-Ex some to me in Texas! :-)
ReplyDeleteOr maybe call around to a shelter or food bank who can take them.
Enjoy your bounty!
Have a safe weekend!

I'll let you borrow my tomato squishing gadget if you let me have some of those tomatoes! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was your neighbor! We lost most of our tomatoes in the flooding this year :(
