For Today - August 10th
Outside my window - Blue skies and a summer breeze. Perfect for being outside and working in the yard before it gets too hot.
I am thinking - I can't believe how quickly summer is whizzing by! The kids start back to school two weeks from today.
I am thankful - for a reliable (and red so it's even better) vehicle to tote all these kids around in.
From the kitchen - I'll have to fix supper early tonight because I have a Blue Star Mothers meeting. I'm thinking stuffed bell peppers. I also may do some baking if I can get it going before the house warms up too much.
I am wearing - My workout clothes...a pair of green shorts and a VBS t-shirt. Don't worry, I won't wear it out in public! :)
I am creating - A new calendar page with all of the things the kids have going on this month. It is already full!
I am reading - A Delirious Summer by Ray Blackston. Very cute! I think I need a plastic Elvis for my dashboard.
I am hoping - to get another email soon from Greg (my oldest son) who is in Iraq. I love hearing from him!
I am hearing - a quietly clicking keyboard which sounds wonderful. Last night the phone was ringing, two kids were practicing their instruments at top volume and everyone else was trying to talk to me all at once while I was making supper. The quiet is very refreshing.
Around the house - cleaning bathrooms today and hopefully sweeping and mopping the kitchen if I have time between running Bobby back and forth to football two-a-days and summer band.
One of my favorite things - the library! I so love going to the library and knowing I can take an armful of books home for free!
A few plans for the rest of the week - registration for school. We have to go fill out paperwork, buy school and band t-shirts, show proof of residence, make sure we don't have any library fines left over from last year...all that fun stuff. My mom also wants to take the girls one night this week for one last sleepover with grandma before school starts.

Last night's supper of tricolor pasta and focaccia. I could have doubled the recipe for focaccia and they would have eaten it all. They loved it!

What a nice post. It is fun to see what you are doing during the day and into the future. I always wonder how other mothers spend their time.
Thanks doll,
