On Leave
I can't think of anything better than having one of my boys home on leave (other than having them both home). Just having Peter hanging around, eating me out of house and home, and napping on the couch makes my heart sing.
He told me that there's just something about our home that makes him so relaxed and sleepy. I'm glad that he can let go and get some rest while he's here. I've always hoped that our home would be welcoming and restful and I guess it is. :)

Neither of my chicks have left the nest yet, but I know that someday they will, and I will so welcome and look forward to their visits home!
I taken a nap or two on that couch too!

I think that is wonderful! It must make your heart so happy :) The joys of motherhood go on and on, don't they! We have a foster child who is grown and married,,,when she comes home and gets in the frig like she never left, and talks about her room...it's heartwarming! I'm glad for you!
I really enjoyed my visit. I look forward to stopping by for regular visits. Hope you have a great time at your cookout! BTW, wish I had gotten one of those spray paint triggers awhile back. My fingers tingled for days after I painted my pool furniture.
Oh I know it must be great to have him home! I hope you have a wonderful visit!
Thank you for sharing that Son with your Country.
Awww.... I loved this. I know exactly how you feel. My boy was home for two weeks, and it went FAST! The rest of his summer will be spend in Israel (where he is now), field training, and EMT school. We hope we get to see him for Thanksgiving.
