Say Your Prayers

Children Praying in Classroom by John Phillips
Children Praying in Classroom

I went to the mall and lunch today with my mother. We had a great time and I didn't buy a single thing! Aren't you proud? I know Mike will be happy.

We came across the cutest little store that had all sorts of handmade things for the home. I saw a wall sign that I thought was so cute. A little irreverent I guess, but it really struck my funny bone. I would have bought it if it had been in the budget. It had a darling 50s era picture of a little girl praying and it said:
Jesus and germs are everywhere
so wash your hands and say your prayers
.

Just perfect for my house! These are the two things I remind the kids to do most. ;)

That wouldn't be too hard to copy on a piece of wood, or painted and framed to put in the bathroom!

And, if people obeyed this little rule, the Swine Flu would peter out rather quickly.

You have found the solution!

(I tweeted a link to your post, I liked it so much)

How cute is that! I love that little saying. And I absolutely love the picture at the top of your post, I would love to have that in a frame to put in my girls' bedroom!

Very lovely pic and so true. There's a lot of comfort in lying down to sleep at night with your mother or father at your beside and you say a little prayer before you go to sleep. I knelt down next to my son's bed every night while he said his prayers, and I silently said mine.

My favorite sign is in my friend's beauty shop. It says "Unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy." I still crack up when I think of that. :-)
