FOR TODAY (January 12th)...
Outside my window...It is mostly cloudy and chilly, but not really cold.I am thinking...How much I enjoy puttering around the house and rearranging.
I am thankful for...the fact that we are all healthy even though so many "bugs" are going around.
From the kitchen...I am making sugar cookies for the kids. I have some red and pink sprinkles to put on them.
I am wearing...brown capris (I know...it's winter), a blue sweater, and slippers. My feet were cold.
I am creating...Some leopard print bed buddies for the girls. They will be so excited.
I am going...to be driving carpool today.
I am reading..."The Prayer That Changes Everything" by Stormie Omartian
I am hoping...the sun comes out soon.
I am hearing...The quiet hum of my refrigerator. Mike came home for lunch and just left.
Around the house...I have been rearranging my kitchen nick-knacks and cleaning the countertops.
One of my favorite things...a hot shower on a cold day. I know it dries out my skin, but it feels SO good! :)
A few plans for the rest of the week: Dentist appointments for the three younger kids tomorrow and field trip to the symphony, Blue Star Moms meeting tonight.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

I polished up a couple of apples and added some lemons (essential for my iced tea) and put them in this metal basket this morning. It's really meant to be a planter, but I think it looks pretty on my kitchen table.

Is that a Rosedale Plant Holder from Southern Living at Home? I have those and love them!
Serah, you are so observant! Yes, it is. I've had it for a couple of years. I think it came as a set with another one didn't it? I seem to remember giving one to my grandmother. At any rate, I only have one now. :)
EEEK! I love that piece from SLAH! I'm actually thinking of hosting another party. I just love their stuff!
Such a cute entry! I love reading about other people's daily lives. Mind if I steal that idea? ;)
I'm with ya on the hot shower on a cold day! I come out looking like a cooked lobster. It's the only way I can warm up! Someday I'll have a spa in my backyard!
I love rearranging my decorations, too! Love your apples and lemons together. I'll have to try that. I am an iced-tea drinker also and keep lemons on hand.
Enjoyed reading your daybook!
I have that planter, but I have never thought of using it as a basket. What a wonderful idea.
Have a blessed day!

What a beautiful blog you have! I am a retro housewife, too, that is why I am now following your blog.
