Name that...suburban?

We've had our white Astro van for 7 years and it has been been great. Well, great until we had to endure this summer without an air conditioner. It's sort of embarrassing to walk into church or the grocery store all sweaty. Those 100 degree days were especially rough. The A/C was just going to be more to fix than is worth putting into a 10 year old vehicle.

We finally decided to get a new (to us) vehicle. We still need lots of room with 3 kids to tote around, so we knew it would be either a van or an SUV (I was pulling for an SUV). A good friend had her suburban for sale and we snatched it up. I just love it and feel like the queen of Sheba to have something so nice to drive. It's so quiet and smooth.

So here comes the part where I need the help of my beloved readers. We are a rather strange family in that we always name our family vehicles. The van, because we are so funny and witty, was named "Vanna White", but we have yet to come up with something for our "new" red suburban. I know how smart you all are, so I'm sure you'll come up with something fantastic.

I'll let the kids pick a name from your ideas and the winner will have our undying love and appreciation. :)

By the way, anybody want to buy a white van with no air conditioning? We'll give you a good deal!

Oh, my...no thank you, we already have a van with no a/c. We name all of our cars, too ;-) We currently have four: Sherman Bigglesworth, Nellie, Old Reliable, and the War Wagon.

We name our vehicles too! Well, I do anyway ;)

My SUV was The Silver Snow Queen but she got gas greedy so we got a new car...her name is Lucille!

I think you should call it "Big Red" like the gum or even the pop!

Have a great day!☺

We name our cars too. I am currently driving Nelly the Nissan.
I say you should name it Ol' Red.

How about Ruby Red for a name?

I am glad you got a new-used vehicle! What a blessing that is! Yes, a/c is certainly needed in the summer months!
Used SUV's seem to be really cheap these days with gas being so high and all, them and pick up trucks.

We are currently looking for a
2nd car for us, used of course, or an SUV that has 70,000 or less on it.
Our price range is $5,000 or under, but we are willing to even go to $6,000 for a used car but for that price it better be in really good condition. :-)

Enjoy your new vehicle...

Oooo how about Red Wagon? Nah, that's dumb...lol.

Good luck on a name!

We drive a Saturn VUE and call her VUE (rhymes with phooey)...it was just funny, no other reason! :o) My hubby thinks I am nuts, but every now and again he refers to her by name! :o)

Not very original but you could name
"her" RED ROVER....I'm sure she will
do plenty of that before the end of
her time.
Glad you have a cool and comfy one!

How about Red, then you could be "Lady in Red." Or...Bourbon, Rojo (red in Spanish), Ruby, Scarlett O'Hare, The Red Lobster, Larry the Tomato (Veggie Tales)...

I love it!
But plain me can only think of "Big Bertha"...or "Lucy"!

I can only think of my grandma. She always wore red and always had red nail polish on. Red was definately her color. Do I'd call it Loretta! But I don't think it would fit for your family!

How much are you asking for the van? Do you live near WA?

In order to come up with a name, I would need to know the 1st letter in the license plate.

I name everything. I have no car, but I have named my friend's cars, and my sewing machine and computer both have names. Names are important.

How 'bout Red Robin (YUM!)? Hopefully you have that restaurant near you so you know the commercial I'm talking about. :)
Or you could just call it Yum for short. lol!

My boyfriend has a large lifted jeep cherokee that we call "Clifford, the big red jeep/dog." Since I am so fond of your blog, I would love to share the name with your family! ;)

Y'all are the best! I knew you would come up with tons of creative names! So far the kids (especially the girls) are leaning towards "Clifford". There are about a dozen both here in the comments and that I received in email that are just SO clever! Thank you all. :)

Oh, I like Clifford, too.

Also Bob. As in, the tomato. :o)

How much are you asking for the van?

Tammy, we are asking $2500. It runs well, but of course it's 10 years old and doesn't have A/C so we thought that sounded fair.

How about "Clifford" like the big red dog?!

And what does Mother do?

And what does baby do?

Hi. We name our vehicles too. We once had a red Ford F150 that we called Clifford the Big Red Truck. Our current truck is a red Ford Ranger, and we just call it Little Red. We have an old Chevy Lumina that my son named The Luminator. We once had a purple van that we called The Grape.

You could name your red SUV after Clifford too. But surely your clever kids will come up with a great name!
