Why Are So Many Women Depressed?
Assuming that any new phenomenon -- in this case, much higher rates of depression among women -- suggests a new cause, the major new cause can only be the consequences of feminism.
I wish all Americans could hear the women who call my radio show who tell of how they were raised to believe this feminist promise, and therefore pursued often successful careers while delaying marriage. And now at 35, 40, 45 years of age, they wonder why that career is so unfulfilling and now yearn for a man and family they put off having.
Are men mad to marry a career woman?
When writer Michael Noer wrote in U.S. business bible Forbes magazine that marrying a career woman was a sure route to misery and divorce, he sparked a firestorm of protest.
Are Men Happier Than Women?
There’s a growing happiness gap between men and women, says this New York Times article. According to new research, women today report being less happy than men, a reverse in findings from studies done in the 1970s.

Hmmmm... why am I not surprised?
Very interestig post. Thanks for sharing!
Interesting post. Depression is on the increase, in children and teens too. If only everyone would get 'back to basics'. I'm sure that's the answer.
Love, Tina :)
Wow! I didn't realize there was yet another toll being taken on women. I've begun to think that the message today is not "Women aren't valued" but "Women ARE valued -- when you act like men." But as you know, that's not what they were created to be. Thanks for trying to spread the Good News through your blog.
Blessings,
BILL
Wow...
"...consequences of feminism"
Written by a man I guess.
Maybe women wouldn't be so depressed if they didn't have people drilling false information into their heads such as, you obviously can't be happy without a man in your life, and why follow a great career path when you can do housework and take of your husbands shoes when he gets home?
I chose knowledge, success, job satisfaction AND a happy relationship. Believe it or not, women can handle both.
I found your blog through Apples of Gold....good post! Reaffirms a lot of things for me as a sahw and sahm. Thank you.
Women who take oral contraceptives are highly vulnerable to depression. As per a recent study, women who take oral contraceptives are twice as likely to develop depression as compared to those women who do not take oral contraceptives. Almost all the antidepressants, like xanax have side-effects. And depression can be said to be a side-effect of the oral contraceptive pills.
Steve,
I'm removing your comment. You certainly have a right to disagree with my other commenters, but I'm trying to keep my blog as upbeat and encouraging as possible. Thank you for understanding.
